I'm Deeply Rooted: Dr. Shakema Sanders

To the Nominating Committee and the Sorors of the Northeastern Region of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.

It is with great enthusiasm and sisterly pride that I recommend Soror Dr. Jasmine Robinson for the office of Undergraduate Chapter Coordinator (UCC). Having served under her leadership on the Regional Membership Committee, I have witnessed firsthand her strategic vision, her work ethic, and her unwavering commitment to our Sisterhood.

As our Regional Membership Chair, Dr. Robinson faced the unprecedented challenge of navigating membership development in a post-pandemic landscape. She didn’t just maintain our numbers; she reimagined the membership experience. Her resourceful approach to virtual and hybrid engagement ensured that our sisterhood remained connected and vibrant during a period of global transition.

Her campaign theme, "Rooted in Sisterhood, Rising in Purpose," is not just a slogan—it is how she operates. Her qualifications extend far beyond a single committee. As a former Basileus and holder of numerous leadership roles, she possesses a comprehensive understanding of chapter operations and constitutional protocol. She is an invaluable asset who approaches every task with a solution-oriented mindset.

I am confident that Soror Dr. Robinson will continue to bring and further elevate the level of innovation to our undergraduate chapters. Her ability to mentor collegiate Sorors while managing high-level administrative duties makes her the ideal choice to serve as our next UCC. She is the leader our undergraduates deserve to guide them into the next era of Greater Service, Greater Progress
