I am honored to offer my wholehearted support for Dr. Jasmine Robinson as she seeks election as Undergraduate Chapter Coordinator for the Northeast Region of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. I proudly stand with her as a supporter of the Rooted in Sisterhood and Rising in Purpose campaign because I have seen, for nearly two decades, the heart, work, and integrity she brings to everything she does.
Although I am not a member of Sigma Gamma Rho, I have known Jasmine since 2007, when she crossed as a neo at the University of Connecticut. Since 2008, we have worked closely together on numerous collaborations and programs aimed at building up our organizations and serving our community. From the very beginning, what stood out to me most was her genuine love for Sigma Gamma Rho and her deep respect for the responsibility that comes with membership.
One of the clearest examples of Jasmine’s commitment to Sisterhood was her leadership in rebuilding the Nu Mu Chapter at UConn. I watched her take a chapter that was inactive and, through dedication, encouragement, and consistency, help grow it into a thriving undergraduate chapter with double-digit membership in just three years. Her passion was contagious. Young women were drawn to Sigma Gamma Rho because of the way she lived its values and made sisterhood feel meaningful and inclusive.
Jasmine has always led with a servant’s heart. She consistently gives back, shows up for others, and works quietly and diligently to meet the needs of those around her. During her time as NPHC President, she played a key role in helping me bring an Iota Phi Theta chapter to the University of Connecticut. That experience showed me her integrity, collaborative spirit, and strong belief in the importance of undergraduate leadership across organizations.
What I admire most about Jasmine is her commitment to mentoring and developing others. She understands that undergraduates are the lifeblood of our Greek-letter organizations. Over the years, I have seen her pour into countless women and chapters within Sigma Gamma Rho by offering guidance, accountability, and encouragement. She brings fresh ideas and renewed energy wherever she serves, and her leadership has helped chapters grow stronger and more confident.
Jasmine’s work on the Membership Committee in the Northeast Region further reflects her passion for education and growth. She believes deeply that an organization is only as strong as its members. She takes pride in teaching, training, and molding younger sorors the right way, always remembering the prophytes who mentored her and helped shape the leader she is today.
I am endorsing Dr. Jasmine Robinson for Undergraduate Chapter Coordinator because she has been preparing for this role for nearly eighteen years. She leads by example, remains grounded in her purpose, and truly cares about the success of every undergraduate chapter and member. I am confident that as UCC, she will cultivate a culture of continuous learning, empowerment, and unity by helping undergraduate members reach their fullest potential.
Jasmine will help build a vibrant, inclusive, and thriving undergraduate sisterhood—one that is deeply rooted in tradition and rising in purpose. She has my full support and strongest endorsement.
