Strengthening the Chapter from Within: Iota Epsilon Sigma’s September 2025 Retreat

In September 2025, the Sorors of Iota Epsilon Sigma came together for a chapter retreat focused on growth, alignment, and strengthening the chapter experience. Designed as a space for reflection and development, the retreat created meaningful opportunities for learning, discussion, and connection.

As part of the retreat programming, a workshop on Sigma Image and Protocol was facilitated by Dr. Jasmine Robinson, to help reinforce the standards, expectations, and traditions that guide Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. The session encouraged thoughtful dialogue around representation, professionalism, and how each Soror contributes to the chapter’s collective image.

Building Knowledge, Strengthening Practice

The workshop focused on practical applications of Sigma image and protocol, offering clarity around best practices while creating space for questions and shared understanding. Sorors engaged in open conversation about how these principles show up in chapter operations, public-facing moments, and everyday interactions.

A Valuable Investment in Chapter Success

Feedback from the chapter reflected that the retreat and the Sigma Image and Protocol workshop in particular, was highly beneficial to the success of the body. By grounding leadership and membership work in shared standards and mutual accountability, the chapter reaffirmed its commitment to excellence and unity.

The Iota Epsilon Sigma retreat served as a reminder that intentional learning spaces strengthen chapters from the inside out. When Sorors invest time in development, alignment, and shared understanding, the entire chapter is better positioned to thrive.
